1963 Rover P4 110 Manual overdrive.

The Rover P4 was produced by the Rover company from 1949 until 1964 in various models, guises and engine power. This desirable P4 110 was produced in 1963 towards the end of production before it was replaced by the Rover 2000 and is recogonised as the flagship of all models with the most powerfull straight six cylinder 2.6 litre engine producing 123 HP and an overdrive gearbox fitted as standard. This was the fastest P4 model tested by Motor magazine! Not fast by modern standards although more than enough power to easily keep up with todays traffic & will waft along effortly in pure luxury.

This pristine example is possibly the best currently available. First registered locally to us in Northampton by "Grose Bros" still wearing their original engine bay mounted plaque. Finished in stunning two tone Marine blue/Light grey paintwork with a gorgeous lustre and depth of shine with contrasting full grey leather interior the car looks an absolute picture.

This Rover has been subject to expenditure of around £15,000 by the last owner of nearly ten years and only five previous owners from new. Works carried out by a Rover specialist in 2020 inc overhauled cylinder head, rebuilt carburettor, distributor serviced, brake overhaul including new servo, brake pipes, wheel cylinders, slave cylinders and new fluid, all new shock absorbers, coolant hoses and clips, and full service. . A brand new "Webasto" sliding sunroof and headling completes the recent works carried out. Four brand new radial tyres recently fitted. The body, paintwork and interior is exceptional and the underside is solid and well protected with excellent chassis, outriggers and floors etc. Although Mot exempt, it has an Mot until July 2023 with no advisories.
This car has clearly been treasured and cosseted, kept garaged and never used in the rain during his ownership. The history file include invoices, receipts, previous Mots, original handbooks, owners manual, workshop manual and service book. Original complete factory tool kit even including the original Rover touch up sticks, number plates and even the original leather radiator blind. Displaying just 89000 miles, this "Aunty" Rover really is rather special in every repect.
