1957 Wolsley 1500 Mk1 Saloon four speed manual gearbox.

This very early example has had just five previous owners during its 66 year life and one of just approximately 43 Wolsley 1500,s left in the UK with a current Mot! 36000 recorded miles.

The car underwent a light restoration a number of years ago, retaining much originality and patina. Finished in a most attractive original factory colour scheme of burgundy and cream, the paint and bodywork presents exceptionally well with a gorgeous depth of shine. The upmarket luxurious interior with two tone seats, plush deep red carpets and walnut dashboard is in superb condition and a very comfortable place to be. The underside, floor pans, outriggers, and sills etc are very solid with no signs of previous repairs and painted, rather than is often the case, plastered in layers of underseal concealing all manner of poor repairs!

The proven 'B' series engine starts on the button sounding just as one would expect. She drives very well with excellent brakes, smooth gearbox and clutch.

Well maintained over the years with four brand new tyres just fitted and although Mot exempt as classed as historic vehicle she has a current Mot until July 2025. Free road tax.

In the history file we have the original buff and green log books plus the current V5 along with previous bills, receipts and orginal Wolsley workshop manual. There is also a small hand written motorists record book, a nice touch!

Overall this Wolsley is actually a very attractive modern luxurious car of its era, a pleasure to drive whilst retaining the memories of revisiting the 1950s golden age of motoring!
